Progress for self-performed construction is generally measured by means of an earned job hour method, similar to engineering.  The progress base is discreet portions of work (e.g., a piping isometric, and individual foundation, etc.).  Percent complete of an activity is based on the measured quantity of work installed divided by the projected total quantity of work installed for each weighted work step.
